Founded in Stockholm in 2017 by songwriters and musicians Göran Engvall and Mikael Rosengren, HEARTWIND is built on a passion for the golden era of melodic hard rock and AOR. Together with the diligent drummer Peter Trumpeter Svensson, they dutifully deliver their trademark sound that combines soaring melodies, powerful guitars, magnificent keyboards, huge choruses and emotional songwriting, bringing the spirit of the 80s into an up to date production.
From the debut album “Higher And Higher” (2018), through “Strangers” (2020) and “Heartwind III” (2024), the band has developed a unique concept: the songs remain at the heart of everything, while an impressive line-up of renowned rock vocalists and musicians adds their own personality to the material.
Over the years, HEARTWIND has worked with some of the finest names in Scandinavian and European rock, including Matti Alfonzetti, Jakob Samuel, Rick Altzi, Thomas Vikström, Nalle Påhlsson, Fredrik Folkare, Johan Fahlberg, Dennis Ward and Nina Söderquist, among many others.
With more than 3 million Spotify streams and a growing international audience, HEARTWIND has firmly established itself within the modern melodic rock scene.
Now, with their fourth full-length album, “Cold Hearted Ballerina”, HEARTWIND is ready to take the next step — delivering another dose of timeless melodic hard rock, featuring big songs, great musicians and that unmistakable Scandinavian touch. Singers this time include Thomas Vikström (Talk Of The Town), Rick Altzi (Masterplan), David Rosario (Rozario), Dennis Ward (Magnum), Nina Söderquist, Johan Fahlberg (Jaded Heart), Tobias Jonsson and Marcus Von Boisman (Tank).
